If you could ONLY have a two-way, which one?

As a horn enthusiast, I'm always looking for 'simple' yet great speaker systems.

So, if you could only use two components for your horn system, what would it be?

A Model 19?

A VOTT?

Two caveats...is mid sized room for general home listening....and components that are 'reasonably' accessible (or new, eg GPA)...not the super esoteric. Make sense?

I have 904-8A modified to more like a 604-8K. So the boxes are small and don't go low. They need a subwoofer.
I built my own cabs, about 2.5 cubic feet. so never mind, that makes it a 3 way.
So M19's, which don't go low either. I use subs with them as well.

Model 19 they go lower than a Vott.

IMO so far...
If I could only have one two-way it'd have to be the M600's for the sake of the modern XO, Mantaray, and reasonable portability of the cabinets. You can always experiment with soffit/large baffle mounting.

I assume the GPA III is the modern production equivalent we'd be talking about, but I have no exp. with it.

If you take portability out of the equation, it becomes a morass, as "VOTT" covers so much ground and variation.
i.e. You could easilly end up with something approximating an M19, in an 825/828 cabinet with a 416 LF, your flavor of 1" HF, then apply the 39023 mod to a 1285 series XO ...

I do not have M19's to compare to. AB may have done the above though.
